To create a poster based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the full text of the book is laid down on a scroll of paper, which drifts in air and casts shadow that corresponds to Alice’s height in context.
The poster explores the tactile dimension of paper, and reveal the often ignored materiality of this media.
The tile is a visualization experiment inspired by Kumi Yamashita’s art work with shadows. Text from the book is extruded to create shadow that resembles that silhouette of Alice (upper right) as she opens the door to the wonderland.
