The Human-Machine Interaction group at Yale has three rooms on different floors in the engineering building. We share the common frustration with teams that owe geographically separated space- where to find the team mate?
This led us to design a Clock for location.
Each of the group members has one pointer designed and cut out with a laser cutter.

Clock Hands
Every five minutes, the clock reads schedules online, and update the position of pointers. Our next step is to link the clock with bluetooth device and update status in real time.
The gentle noise of typing or chair moving in an office tellls a lot about one’s status. The whisper of servos could hint similar information by moving in a certain pattern.
